Beginning in 2011, The Amazing Race Wollongong (ARW), just like in the Amazing Race seen on TV, sees teams being challenged with clues, problems and the pressure of time. Teams will race from check point to check point experiencing tasks and activities that will challenge and entertain. This yearly event raises money where all proceeds go to charities.
Since it's second year we have jumped on board and have assisted by creating their brand and online presence. Their ever evolving website manages all the team registrations and secure payment donations.
Creating a mobile app was one of the most rewarding challenges we've created for ARW. It allowed teams to scan QR Code poster checkpoints after the completion of each checkpoint to give them directions and questions related to their next challenge.
At the same time uploading their GPS location, checkpoint completion and status of their challenge - all this data received back at the finishing line showed a live update on each team and leadership.
